At St. John’s we take this admonition from our worship very seriously. We are engaged in various forms of outreach to our local community and the world at large. Our quilters make many quilts during the year that are sent around the world through ELCA’s Lutheran World Relief. Each year, a large contingent of members participates in CROP WALK to raise money for those in our area in need of food. We also participate in our local food pantry. We also reach out in very personal ways as members gather each month to lead Bingo at a local retirement community. We open our building to the Wisconsin Blood Center Blood Drive and Lutheran Social Services counseling needs.
THE SAINT JOHN'S FAMILY
We are more than a community at St. John’s. We are the family of God gathered. We seek out opportunities to be together. In addition to our fellowship time after each worship service, Abby's Group gathers once a month for fellowship and service. We also meet together the last Sunday evening of each month at Pastor Bob and Anita’s home for Movie Night, sharing a meal, a movie, and a time of discussion. Although we are a family, it is a very open and welcoming family, making room at the table for all.
THE WOMEN OF ST. JOHN’S
In addition to our very active quilting group at St. John’s we also have Abby's Group, a fellowship and service group of women that meet each month.
