St. John's English Lutheran Church was founded in 1932 near downtown Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.  In 1967, construction began on our current building just off of Center Street in a subdivision.  In 1988 we not only became part of the ELCA as a result of the merger of three denominations, but also paid off our mortgage through a generous estate bequest.  Over the years, two members who grew up in St. John's church family have become ordained pastors.
